A must stop on any tour of the Baja Peninsula. Mulege
is in danger of being overrun by fat tourists with T-shirts sporting the
names of their favorite home state. Nobody even attempts to speak
Spanish and people wonder why they got a fish taco instead of a shrimp
taco. Shiny 4 wheelers fight with the 4th generation, beat-up family
pick-ups for space on the dusty 1 lane streets of Mulege.
It is still an incredibly beautiful place for anybody's itinerary.
We ate plates full of killer fish tacos and then headed a couple of
kilometers south to El Coyote where we boondocked for a couple of
days under the blue skies of Bahia Concepcion. Lazy days hanging
out with all the wonderful characters that Baja attracts had us living
fat on the hog.
