Caravans are a great way for the Baja beginner to make the
treacherous trip south safely. If you want to be led down through
hell by the hand, the Chumming Staph will do it for somewhere in the neighborhood
of $900-$4000 with no guarantees. If you decide to do it yourself,
as the Staph highly recommends, watch out for the caravans since they will
suck all the fuel from a town and fill an RV and Camping spot within minutes.
Another general rule of thumb is "the bigger the RV, the smaller the dog."
Most people do not what to park next to our tiny, dirty rig with the big
dogs so watch out for us. We changed our spot and moved to the front
row when we saw them coming to preserve the peace and we continue to enjoy
San Pedrito.
