The Staph made good time today, blazing out of the Laredo area
and stopping for a quick breakfast in Mulege. We made out way North
through San Ignacio and toward Guerro Negro, stopping only briefly at the
checkpoints where we weren't hassled. We doled out a few more dirty
magazines at the crossover to Baja Norte to grease our passage and then
negotiated 10 miles of ruined roadway to get to Santa Rosalillita, a tiny
village with world class fishing, surfing and windsurfing. Not much
here for services but a fantastic spot to pitch a tent.
