Spent most of the day driving after waking up well rested from a KOA Kampground somewhere south of Santa Cruz. Took the 1 along the coast and checked out Monterey, Big Sur, San Simeon and so on. Awesome coastline but slow driving and a little tough on the rig. Stopped for a X-mas lunch at the "Whale Watchers Cafe" in beautiful Gorda Springs By-the-Sea, home of the $12.50 cheeseburger and $4.50 Corona. Aside from the $50 tab, we had a whale of a good meal and were back on the road towards Pismo without missing a hitch.
