As you know, comfort is not something the Chumming Staph generally
goes
searching for, but, seeing as it was New Years Eve and all, we decided
without
hesitation to pony up $30 a night to stay at the Baja Seasons.
They had a pool,
jacuzzi, horsey rides on the beach, periodic hot showers, a small grocery
and a good
size bar where we hoped to ring in the new year appropriately.
Oscar was our man and took care of us each night, his pour getting
better as my
Spanish continued to head farther South.
We hooked up with some boys from Wisconsin, Scott and his son
Gabe, who
provided us with great company for our stay at the Baja Seasons
and later in
San Miguel. We included Roberto, a local contractor and
new friend, at dinner and
feasted on fresh Lobster and Shrimp before hitting the dance floor.
"We're gonna party like it's 1999." repeat repeatedly...
seriously.
