Barely visible on the horizon, way way out there, blending in with the wide expanse of ocean floor surrounding it, stands The Wormhole and the Edge of the Unknown (WHatEotU). A mirage? An oasis? A peaceful refuge from the elements and a place of participation for the lucky few. By day WHatEotU provides shelter from the sun and the wind, while these elements combine to create dancing patterns on the ocean floor. A quiet place of contemplation far from the chaos of the known. By night the refuge again provides shelter from the aforementioned elements but now WHatEotU speaks gently to it's inhabitants with a radiance of it's own. Twice daily WHatEotU is visited by its otherworldly keeper who performs "The Illumination Ritual" for those within its bounds, satiating the gigantic beast.
