Electroluminescent wire from Hovering Studios is fantastic for clothing and costuming, safety wear, artistic accents, ambiance and animation. There are thousands of applications, just use your imagination.

Below are photos and some details to give you an idea of what is possible with cool neon but this is obviously just the tip of the iceberg.

Check out Michael Buckley's wonderful Seagull (672k QuickTime mov) that was seen flying past the moon in Black Rock City, NV's Floating World 2002 for an idea of what I am talking about.
